Etude House Precious Minerals BB Cream #2 Sample Size

The Good:  Lightweight, blends with skin easily, doesn't look washed out, no breakouts

The Not-So-Good: Light coverage, no oil control

The sample size was about 2 grams I think and it can last for 3 days.  I got 2 packs so my feedback was fairly based on just a weeks use.  I like how it blends well with my skintone, and it gives a dewy finish. I was supposed to buy the full size bottle but I saw that there is a new All Day Strong line, which has better reviews. It would be great to find something with real oil control effect though. I'll just have to keep hunting and trying for that.

Observations:
     No doubt that this product has great staying power. After 6 hours on my hand and even tried to wash it off, some pigment is still left behind. I even noticed a little left after I took a bath a day after. Removing it from my lips with a wet cotton really took some time.  It has a light pleasant cherry scent. The red tint reminds me of a cherry candy aftermath , but a little toned down . :) Unfortunately, if these are to be worn alone, it is somewhat drying to my lips. A gloss or balm may help a bit in the dry feeling but since the tint made the direct contact with my lips, I already felt uncomfortable. While applying balm first prior to the tint will make a difference with its staying power. I bought this trial size at Ebay for only P20.00 Overall, I find the Pink Tint more wearable for me but not planning to try a full-sized product any time soon just because of its drying effect on me.

Review: Etude House Proof 10 Eye Primer

Finally got this baby after quite some time. Etude House SM Cebu is always out of stock, lucky enough there's one last piece left when I stopped by.

So I am still quiet a newbie when it comes to make-up. One thing too, if its not that necessary I usually let the temptation of wanting to buy a product die down. Unless it won't make me sleep for a few days. (haha!) So I have only started learning more about make-up about almost 2 years ago. My nature of work doesn't require me to but it feels good to know about this things and being able to get it done the right way. And when I was in high school,  I can remember dolling up with my mom's make-up before I take bath during weekends, especially when she's not around.

So back to the Proof 10 Eye Primer. It is a light beige cream that goes with a sponge tip applicator. Just a little swipe on the lids and a finger can do the rest of the spreading. It has a very light smell, not a pleasant scent but it can actually go unnoticed. I even thought its unscented until I checked.  I finally got the before and after photos ready, yay to my new camera and here they go...

I swear on how awfully oily my eyelids can get. Usually after two hours without primer, my eye shadows are almost wiped out, looking all greasy and messed up. Thanks also to my beautiful hooded eyelids. But with Proof 10 Eye Primer, the eye shadows can stay on the whole day. Though it looked a little creased and oily in the photo, its just nothing like that without the primer. I have heard of the UDPP but it's way too expensive. At Etude House, it is only Php 298 ($7). This is the first Eye Primer I've tried and I am just too happy how good it works for me. It really saved me from the frustration on how to let my eye shadows stay longer.

Etude House 55 Kissful Tint Chou

It was my friend who got this the first time we went to Etude House. She had the #1 and I liked how it looked on her that got me grabbing the #4 myself.

Etude House US Website says:

Lip Plumping Chou Cream promotes pouty smooth lips.

Chou cream texture supplies moisture to smooth rubbery lips. Natural tint color lasts for hours to liven dull lips. Lip plumping additive supplies glossy volume to thin lips without injections

My Personal Take:

I love the convenience of the applicator. Gives out enough product for use. The tint chous is available in 4 colors: 1-Red, 2-Pink, 3-Strawberry, 4-Tangerine. I haven't felt or observed any noticeable plumping effect. I have tried a Maybelline Lip Plumper and I can feel how spicy it was, it stings and that is how most Lip plumpers work. Notice the stains on the last photo? They are of similar shade, though #1 left a darker stain than #4. Even before wiping it off, it is obvious that #1 is more pigmented.

This baby lasts for up to 5 hours for me, only after lunch that I need to retouch. It's basically all I need to have for lip care as it doesn't dry out my lips, for color which is surprisingly lasting, and healthy sheen. Its a great buy at Php 278 (6$).

Black Charcoal Chin Pack by Etude House

It Says
Black Charcoal Chin Pack is formulated with black charcoal additives to remove oil and pore deep sebum. Patch lightens pores and contains Aloe Vera to improve skin complexion.

Active Ingredient: Charcoal Powder 0.1%

Directions: Wet chin with water. Remove clear film from pack and fasten adhesive side to chin for 10-15 minutes. Remove strip when dry.

My Personal Take:

Packaging: So I found the design so cute that I had to try one just out of curiosity. Ive tried pore strips before but never heard of a chin pack. Particularly for this one, its the patch that matters not the pouch.

Scent: No trace of anything on the patch.

Feature/Application: It took me 10 minutes with the adhesive on. I already knew the strip is dry since it felt tight on the skin. Some adhesive with charcoal debris are left on my chin upon removal of the strip. But it was easily removed by cotton moistened with water. I used it after taking a bath and my chin isn't as oily as my nose so there is not much difference aside from the feeling (or thought) that my chin felt a little softer.

Unless really needed for a problematic chin area perhaps, this product is worth investing on more than just one pack. It was very affordable and I had fun trying it but one strip is already enough.

Review: Juicy Pop Tube 01 by Etude House

Juicy Pop Tube from the Korean brand Etude House is definitely one juicy gloss that I am loving right now.

Sorry, product info at the back is in korean and I couldn't have anyone translate it at the moment. :)

My Personal Take:

Packaging:  Its slender and cute, there are times though that the stopper in the cap doesn't fit in right away and an amount of the gloss has messed up in the cap already.

Scent: Very slight fruity fragrance, I don't notice it after applying.

Features: It's light on the lips, the color is not that pigmented. No. 01 is the darkest of the 3 Juicy Pop Tubes of Etude House. It gives the right shine either alone or used on top of a lipstick. It lasted for 4 hours on me with occassional drinking and eating.

Availability: Etude House has already conquered Manila and Cebu, not sure in other parts of the country though. It comes in 3 shades, but have to confirm on their numbers.

Value for money: ♥♥♥♥ *Php 128 ($2.8)

Got this in time when my Nivea Lip Caregloss and Shine ran out. Though it is not as light as Nivea, it lasts as long and gives the same pretty healthy looking sheen on the lips.

Etude House SM Cebu

I have been itching to check out the Etude House in SM City Cebu even before they officially opened. But it is only recently that I finally had the chance to do so. It was good to know that they also have budget friendly products, I thought otherwise. My friend and I grabbed some stuffs and we were able to avail of a free Pink Membership rebate card for a Php 500 purchase. A 2% rebate is given to cardholders for a minimum of  Php 100 single receipt purchase on the same store

Here are the items that we grabbed. I will be sharing my takes on the Black Charcoal Chin Pack and the Juicy Pop Tube soon.  I'm loving the Juicy Pop Tube! Just in time to replace my favorite gloss that is already running out.
