Human Nature Goodies with Quick Reviews

Well isn't it exciting to receive a package, mail or something? So I ordered online instead of visiting the Cebu branch of Human <3 Nature.

Moisturizing Day Fluid, Moisturizing Night Cream, Balancing Toner, and Natural Hair Mask

This Night Cream is really good. I love how lightweight it is and smells just right, not too overwhelming, plus its natural!

Sadly this Day Fluid I only have to use when I just stay at home. I have oily combination skin and putting this on prior to BB cream just makes my skin appear worse. I love the smell, consistency is good and its boasts with many vitamins and minerals good for the skin.

This balancing toner is just perfect for my oily skin. It refreshes the face like no other and the orange scent is just so energizing. I love it!

This is a wonderful natural treat for the hair. You can never go wrong with Aloe vera for your beloved crowning glory. The jasmine scent is so heavenly but others may find it too powerful, it can stay on the hair for hours. I had no issues about it though, my hair is smelling fragrant anyways.

Visit the Human Heart Nature website to view more interesting and natural Filipino-made products.

I'm not going to promise but I'm really looking forward to finally post other product reviews that I would like to share. It was hard keeping up last year but it's never too late to continue what I've started.

Take Care!

Skinfood Black Sugar and Rice Mask Sample Trial

Skinfood Black Sugar Mask Wash Off

"Black sugar mask with rich minerals and vitamin to provide luster and smoothness
to the skin. After cleansing, gently massage over wet face avoiding eye area, then rinse off."

Skinfood Rice Mask Wash Off

"Mask with nutritious rice extract for soft skin texture.
After cleansing, gently massage over dry face avoiding eye area then rinse off."

So I got these sample sizes from a Cebu-based Ebay seller, for only Php 15 per sachet. I'm not sure of the amount of the content but one pack can last for 5 days if used daily. I was surprised to see it has real sugar and rice granules when they are named as masks. I dont know but for me these are scrubs. Both smell good but I like the Black sugar's lemony with a hint of ginger scent better, which I find invigorating.  Sugar is a good exfoliant but the sugar crystals they used are a bit rough for me so it should be massaged with a very light hand. The Rice Mask has gentle rice granules just perfect for a facial scrub and it leaves the skin soft after rinsing. So far I haven't noticed any allergic reactions or breakouts, though I don't use them everyday. 2-3 times a week perhaps. The products are really worth the try and I like them. But just being me, I like trying out other things so I may not repurchase. I still even have a St. Ive's and Garnier scrub waiting to be noticed again. :)

Johnson's Baby Milk Bath

For many years, if there is one skin care product that I kept coming back at the supermarket or department store shelf, it is the Johnson's Baby Milk Bath.

Who said it is only for babies? Most bar soaps doesn't give me the nourishing and pampering treat this milk bath can offer. The scent may not be as exciting, which is something I find rather better especially for delicate skin.

I like how it makes skin smooth, soft, moisturized and I don't feel the need to apply lotion after bath on regular lazy days. (its always better to apply lotion with high SPF when prolonged sun exposure is expected)
It's lactic acid content not only acts as a natural moisturizer, skin exfoliant, but also has antibacterial properties.  It's absolutely more than just a nourishing bath experience.

Peek: Dove Go Fresh Energizing Beauty Bar

I remember last summer when my good old bath milk and other liquid soaps just felt too icky on the skin and the scent became tad boring. Even though I'm not such a bar soap user, Dove's Go Fresh TV Ad seem to be too promising that I went to give it a try.

Straight to the point, it delivers! I love the smell, it is the exact grapefruit and lemon notes that give such a refreshing bath experience. It is moisturizing and hydrating without the sticky feel. I'm into scrubs so I like the invigorating beads, it indeed gives that awakening feel.

So I thought the energizing Dove Bar was only perfect for summer. But came the rainy season that has never been humid! Then I know I have to get another one of those bars again, plus I so miss its almost intoxicating and refreshing scent....

Black Charcoal Chin Pack by Etude House

It Says
Black Charcoal Chin Pack is formulated with black charcoal additives to remove oil and pore deep sebum. Patch lightens pores and contains Aloe Vera to improve skin complexion.

Active Ingredient: Charcoal Powder 0.1%

Directions: Wet chin with water. Remove clear film from pack and fasten adhesive side to chin for 10-15 minutes. Remove strip when dry.

My Personal Take:

Packaging: So I found the design so cute that I had to try one just out of curiosity. Ive tried pore strips before but never heard of a chin pack. Particularly for this one, its the patch that matters not the pouch.

Scent: No trace of anything on the patch.

Feature/Application: It took me 10 minutes with the adhesive on. I already knew the strip is dry since it felt tight on the skin. Some adhesive with charcoal debris are left on my chin upon removal of the strip. But it was easily removed by cotton moistened with water. I used it after taking a bath and my chin isn't as oily as my nose so there is not much difference aside from the feeling (or thought) that my chin felt a little softer.

Availability: Php 38 ($0.85) per pack at Etude House

Value for Money: ♥♥♥

Overall Rating: ♥♥♥

Unless really needed for a problematic chin area perhaps, this product is worth investing on more than just one pack. It was very affordable and I had fun trying it but one strip is already enough.

Myra VitaGlow Tinted Moisturizer *Ivory

Along with Myra's Facial Skin Care Line comes the Myra VitaGlow Tinted Facial Moisturizer, with minerals and SPF15. It gives a hint of color, evens out skin tone with a natural coverage. It contains minerals to give skin a healthy glow. Enriched with Vitamin E to help keep skin soft, healthy and young looking. With SPF15 to protect skin against the sun's harmful rays. It's Dermatologist tested mild, gentle, and safe for everyday use.

Sorry its blurry but it blends pretty well. Taken without flash

Taken with flash. See the shimmers and even glitters?
My Personal Take:

Packaging: Sleek looking but squeeze out tottle tube barely stands up.

Scent: Appropriate smell as make-up base, scent is not overwhelming,

Features:  Ivory blends well with my skintone and gives a good coverage but I was disappointed with the shimmers. I have oily skin and hints of it doesn't make my face any better especially during the day. I usually just dab on liquid foundation/make-up base and thats it, no more powder. Too bad I like its consistency, spreadability, Vit. E, SPF 15 and mineral factors.

Availability: Comes in 2 shades, Beige for darker skintone while Ivory for fairer skin. Commercially available in leading department stores nationwide. Affordable at Php 135 ($3) bought it at Watsons.

Value for Money: ♥♥♥♥

Overall Rating: ♥♥♥

Basically, the product doesn't suit my skin type. If they will develop another tinted moisturizer except the glitters, I will surely try again. As for this one, it has become a highlighter especially for evening events, where the shimmers gives that added oomph for a glowing looking skin but not on my face.

Nivea Whitening Inner Cell Repair Body Milk

Nivea Whitening Inner Cell Repair Body Milk

With Berry and Licorice Extracts. With advanced UV protection for Normal Sun exposure.

Strengthening skin from within for fair and beautiful skin.

My Personal Take:

Packaging: Attractive and no fuss container. Smaller sizes are as cute and perfect for travels

Scent: Fragrance is alright, just the usual lotion type smell. Not bad but nothing special either.

Features: I found noticeable results of lightening while using this product. Had enough sun exposure last summer that darkened my arms. I've been using this for 2 months now and I am using this together with a lightening soap as well. The effect may be attributed to both soap and lotion though. Nevertheless, I like the formula's nice texture on application, it gives enough moisture and smoothness on the skin.

Value for Money: ♥♥♥♥
